When you say, you are back to work, what do you do? Do you work for SU? If so, what do you do there? Does all of your family (sisters and BIL's) work for SU?
Ok I will answer this as simply as I can...I will describe and show in pictures an average day at work for me, in just a second. I do not work for SU! but rather for my mom. I am one of her "executive assistants" with responsibilities/focus in food preparation, that being said...I take care of errands and lots of little projects or jobs my mom wants done that she doesn't have the time to do. Here is a small list as an example of things I might do:
- Seasonal Decor
- Cards for Birthdays
- Fixing Jewelry
- Cleaning and organizing the fridge/freezer/pantry
- Errands
- Stamping projects (example. The Today Show projects to see)
- Flower planting on the patio
- Grocery shopping/keeping the house stocked
- Meal planning/preparing
- Party catering
- Whatever I can do to relieve stress on her :)
As for the end of the question, 2 (out of 4) of my sisters work part-time at SU! so they can still be at home mothers. While 2 (out of 4) brother-in-laws work full-time at SU!
Now to describe a typical day...

{I wake up and prepare Jared's breakfast, a muffin/bagel and cream cheese with a bottle of water normally}
{I also make his lunch}
{I will then after he is out the door, usually throw on a t-shirt, jeans and throw my hair in a ponytail and head out the door}

{I then will run errands, this particular day I had to go to Roberts, Target, Walmart, and Costco}
{I will then either go to work doing things below and make dinner right before dinner-time, or like this day I will make it in the crock pot to cook throughout the day...today homemade, sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free preservative-free chili and cornmeal muffins for the family and oatmeal/rice gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, corn-free spice muffins for mom)

{I had to fix a few pieces of jewelry and glue some broken figurines back together}

{Make 60 (20 of each color) birthday cards for mom to use. Most times I will either have a card to duplicate and only have to make small changes, but there are also times where I have to come up with designs myself (those are torturous days for me)}
And then I come home spend some time with my sweetheart/watch tv/read/clean or craft. That is a typical day for me.
I would like to know what kind of camera you and your mom use for the pictures you take on your travels?
I don't want to speak for my family...although I think I do when I say we L.O.V.E. Cannon. I had a cannon powershot when I went on my mission, and I ended up selling it to an elder and getting a new camera...unfortunately the best deal was with a different brand (biggest mistake! What I would do to get my old camera...even if it would have died on me! FYI it still works.) I went to best buy and took a few pictures of the little handheld cameras that would be good for traveling, but I am sure you can price check them and find better deals. I got my last one at Walmart and never had a problem, the screen broke about a year out but cannon replaced it for free. Costco might have deals too.
{My mom uses this one when she travels I believe. And from what I know she likes it. Of course I am no camera expert...that would be Jon (my brother-in-law). I just know what I like!}
{mine was silver like this one, but mine was also much older and probably not at good}
Someone mentioned what I am going to do with all these cute things I made...
I am going to use them to decorate above my cupboards...who says cute things aren't practical ;)
And, you seem to be the person to ask, do you have an ultimate go-to buttercream icing recipe?
Here is the thing, I don't make buttercream on such a regular basis that I have a great ultimate recipe. I usually will make specific types according to the cakes/cupcakes. So I emailed a good baker friend Kathy, I knew she would know her stuff. This is what she told me:
The recipe I use isn’t really butter cream but it’s a pretty good one. I use 7 – 8 cups of powdered sugar (I don’t sift it but sort of fluff it up before I measure it), I cube of butter, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and about 1 cup of heavy cream (the amount of cream depends on how thick or thin the cream is). Start with the proceeding measurements and if the icing seems dry, add more cream in 1 tablespoon increments. One of the secrets to a really good icing is to make sure you whip it long enough. I usually whip it for about 5 minutes. It gets thinner as you whip it so if it seems a little bit stiff at first, don’t add too much liquid. If you see powdered sugar at the bottom of the bowl, you definitely need more! Sorry I’m so vague...you just have to try it a few times!
Good Luck! I am going to for sure try this out!
I can't enlarge the hutch banner either....can you fix that?
{See if this helps}
